Link Management Guide: Organizing and Updating URLs
As your digital marketing presence expands, keeping track of hundreds of links across product launches, social channels, and affiliate campaigns requires a streamlined system. Here is how to keep your links structured and up to date on EZY.
1. Editing Link Destination Targets
One of the greatest benefits of using a dedicated link manager is the freedom to change where a link points at any point in the future:
- Log in to your EZY dashboard and navigate to the Links tab.
- Locate the link you wish to update and click the Edit icon.
- Input your new destination web address and save your changes.
The short link itself stays completely unchanged. Anyone clicking previous social posts, emails, or printed QR codes is automatically redirected to your new destination within seconds.
2. Maintaining Consistent Naming Conventions
Using intuitive titles helps you quickly identify campaigns when reviewing analytics. Instead of generic titles, use structured formulas such as[Channel] - [Campaign] - [Date] (e.g. "Newsletter - Spring Drop - March").
3. Custom Alias Hygiene
Take advantage of EZY's custom short links. Using clean, descriptive names like ezy.pt/SummerSpecial makes links memorable, while avoiding obscure punctuation characters prevents accidental formatting bugs in third-party messaging apps.
4. Retiring Expired Campaigns
When a seasonal promotion ends, you have two options. You can either delete the link to free up inventory, or update its destination target to point to your main storefront or waitlist page so late visitors never encounter a dead end.
